By personal conviction I started following a plant-based diet but the dairy-free cheese alternatives in the market didn't meet my needs in terms of nutrition and sustainability.
I wanted a healthy, nutritious and natural alternative that I would want to give my kids. A product that allowed people who didn't consume dairy and who were allergic to nuts to have an easy, delicious and sustainable way to obtain nutrition and experience the pleasure of cheese.
I had the idea of a plant-based cheese alternative made from pulses (chickpeas, lentils, beans). Pulses, a commun food in my country of origin, Venezuela, are highly nutritious foods. They are also sustainable Canadian crops.
